I was asked by a member of our club where the differential vent is located on the 1959 Cadillac rear axle assembly. Thought I knew but I nor he nor any of our mechanics can locate it either. Is it supposed to have a little cap over a vent pipe? If so ,where is it located? Shop manual is no help.  Thanks, Dan

Should be right at the top of the axle housing, some cars it is combined with the brake line T.
