cant get any spark across points whats wrong ? thanks john

You need a small circuit tester or something, I use one of those screw drivers with a wire and crocodile clip attached. test for power at the coil + then where that wire bolts to the distributor, then to the points, they must be open for these tests so their not grounded, if you have power right to the points its the surface of the points themselves, Iv had this many times even with new points, a little emery cloth will sort it out.  You have to look out for poor insulation where the wire enters the distributor and where the moving points mount. It must not go to ground anywhere.

Does the 41 have a ground wire from the distributor point plate to ground?  The 68’s have that and after many miles that wire can sometimes break.

I'd first check the wires and connections inside and leading to the distributor and the ignition switch.  If that's all sound, I'd replace the condenser and then move to checking the coil.  Start with the ignition switch and check for power with a meter and move on from there.
