i got a kit from autozone for master cylinder. problem is i cannot get the new piston to fit its to tight. the cylinder was lightly honed so was wondering are there different kits for this thanks john

Hi John -

Your kit should have a 1" piston to fit the 1941 master cylinder.  I think the Raybestos number is MK3, and AutoZone number is 22999.

If this is what you have, and the piston is too big, look closely at your master cylinder to see if it has been sleeved in the past.  I would think that if that was the case it still would have been bored to 1", but I cannot think of any reason that the correct piston would not fit into your master.

Check the piston diameter and let us know what you find -
