Does anyone of you know about this company? The fellow answering the e-mails is "Steven".The company is "Cadillac King" and the phone number is 818.890.0621.

The reason I ask Is that a friend of mine here in Norway ordered airbags from that company more than a year ago. His payment (close to $900) was drawn from his account but he still has not seen any airbags and they don't answer e-mails from him.
If you know "Steven", please kick him between his big toes and tell him to eiter send the bags or return the money.

If you don't know him, can you tell me where my friend can buy these air bags? His Cadillac is a real beauty.
The reason I write and ask for him, is that he does not read or write English well.

Iv never dealt with this company but have heard of them for a long time and they seem very well established, cant believe anything dubious is going on here, perhaps the email is not working? I would try calling them up. or perhaps a friendly Cadillac club member nearby can help if your English is not so good.

I don't have any problems with my English, but my friend has. That's why I try to help him.
There's no problem wit the e-mail as I get answers all the time when I ask for parts and if they can supply, But when I send from my friend's e-mail address it's like talking to a grave.
While asking for parts to restore my own -58 caddy, I also asked for the airbags my friend had ordered (and paid for). I was told that the bags were going through a final test and  would be sent "within a couple of weeks". This happened more than a year ago!  Could "a couple of weeks" mean 57 - 60 weeks?
The least they could do was to send the money back, or maybe "Steve" or "Tom" had to pay some personal bills?

It's quite obvious that they have "forgotten" the airbags, but even though $900 isn't much for a big company, for my friend, who has a normal day-job, it hurts.

By the way, I see your fuel-prices are climbing. Here in Norway we have to pay close to $ 9.00 pr. gallon and due to Norwegian taxes we have to pay $ 200 000 for a new Ford Mustang with a 6 cyl. engine!! Hardly anyone can afford a new American car, but we take good care of the old ones. Check usccd.piczo.com and go to "gallery" to see what we drive here.

If anyone knows somebody at Cadillac Kings, please ask them about my friends airbags.

I do not know anything about Cadillac King but I do know some people in California that were trying to reproduce the bags but the bags they had made made were failing after installation and the project was pushed way back due to the bags not being a good quality so that maybe why you have not received any bags.

I think it's just normal that they tell the customers, who already paid for the airbags and that they send the money back.

Yes, you think they would refund the money since they have been working on these bags for 2 years and cannot get them made correctly.

Doesn’t Hemmings help mediate this type of problem with their advertisers?  Hemmings has some leverage in a dispute.

Hi "Litchero"

Are you using the OEM lift and leveling valves with the Ride Tech air bags?  Did you replace the OEM "dome" and "bellows"? (also know as the canister and air bag?)  Or were you able to use the Ride Tech air bags with the OEM dome/canister?

Thanks,

Jon

Regarding the original post, I would send a letter to the California state attorney general's office, the consumer protection agency and send copies to Cadillac King.

If I lived anywhere near this place, I would walk in there for you and ask for the parts.

Any members in that part of California willing to help?  The local CLC region perhaps?

LOL, I called them last week asking for 4 64 Seat belt buckles.   He said $300 but wouldn't send me pics unless I bought them first.

I said, OK, what if you send me a picture and I don't want them, usually I see what I'm buying before I pay for it.

Not sure how that was supposed to work out.
