August Self Starter

I feel stupid asking this but has the August Self Starter been mailed out? I was thinking I should have received mine by now. We have had intermittent problems with mail going to the wrong placed due to similar addresses in my area and was looking forward to the GN coverage.

Hi Jason,

The August issue was mailed July 26 from Missouri. I get it Periodical Class and received it in Colorado on the 30th. If you still don't get it in a few days, the CLC Office can mail you a replacement. There's a little something for you on page 25. Tim

This problem with individual Post Offices not delivering in a timely manner will be solved soon. Once The Self-Starter goes online, you can enjoy the magazine on your computer monitor by the 25th of the month prior to the issue date until your printed copy arrives. The online version will be identical to the paper version.

For an additional $15 per year, you will be able to access the online version each month, plus your paper version will be upgraded to First Class mail.

Interesting, I received mine about 2 weeks ago and I am in Palm Springs.  Maybe your Post man is a little too interested.  I have to say that I get why the extra and I since I read mind on the airplane (between closed door and 10Kfeet) so I appreciate the consideration made to keep the paper copy and also an online copy.  My challenge will be how to keep the instant gratification self from reading it before I jump on my next flight.   I know from a non car related non profit I in involved in the mail is about as unreliable as my 1947 chevy was in high school ( she would eventually get me home but no telling how long it would take).

so to those involved in the Self Starter,  I know it is no small task and I for one appreciate the effort it takes  !!!

I appreciate the consideration made to keep the paper copy and also an online copy.

As long as there is demand for the paper copy (last year's survey showed 97 percent of CLC members felt The Self-Starter is extremely important), it will be there for you.

so to those involved in the Self Starter,  I know it is no small task and I for one appreciate the effort it takes  !!!

And thank you for your compliments. It really is no small task among four of us (Steve and Maggi Stewart, Melissa Adams and me).

We all had cars like that in high school Chris but often we were late because we stopped down by the bay to view the submarine races with our lady friends?? I lived in a Cadillac free zone on the wrong side of the tracks and drove a $50 1941 studebaker back then.

Mike is sending my copy back which was marked undeliverable. Keep in mind I've lived at the same address for 17 years, in a 2 story 100 year old house right off Main St here in Garner NC that most people in our small town know, and nothing has changed. I will be heading down to the post master when my copy returns.
