Hi there, will it be possible to replace the big O ring in the converter on the hydramatic with the transmission still in the car?

Thanks

Thore ???

The answer is no. If you have any leaks other then the rear drive shaft seal you will need to remove the transmission. There is only one thing you can try and it won't hurt even if it doesn't fix the leak. Install 1 pint of lacquer thinner to your trans., drive the car 100 miles, drain all the fluid you can, and refill. The thing the thinner will do is clean the trans. and soften the seals. I have done this with success many times. If you can't drain the converter!! don't worry as the thinner will evaporate quickly.
