Dont know if it will help anyone, but I thought there was someone looking for a temperture switch for there 48 a while back, and there is one on here.

Ya Dave, I thought there was some parts on there that guys were asking for recently.
Didnt have the part I was looking for ,but there sure was a lot of stuff for 48's

Ps: Does anyone know if the 53 battery hold down top bracket the same for a 52? And did the a 52 battery have black or yellow refill caps? I saw a bracket on the NOS site, and wondered if it would be the same.

According to the parts book, it has another part number, so I assume it's not the same. 1953 went to 12 V; with an odd shaped battery. I don't know if 1952 had a similarly shaped 6 V battery.

No, the 52 battery is a totally different shape from the 53. That hold down would not be interchangeable with a 52.
