My 77 Eldo drivers side works only. You hit the door lock button from either door and the drivers door locks and unlocks only. Passenger side nothing.  I took the door panel off on the pass side and everything is connected. Wiggled wires while hitting door button and nothing on pass side. I hear the relay working. Before I drill the actuator out, any body have this happen to their Eldo?
Thanks,

Joe, I have never owned a Eldorado but i have had 2 Cads. of the 60's and i had similar problems with the door locks & electric seats. With both cars the problem was the same. The wiring from the switch in the door was broken where it go's thru the bulkhead to under the dash. I removed the rubber boot around the wires and found the broken wires . I installed new wires &
spliced them to the wires in the door & under the dash and that was the end of problem. The driver side door gets opened & closed 10 times as much as the other doors and there are 3 times as many wires to flex & break. I have to assume at least the door lock switch is in the door.

I assume that lock does move manually?
73 Eldo convert w/FiTech EFI, over 30 years of ownership and counting
Somewhat recently deceased daily drivers, 80 Eldo Diesel & 90 CDV
And other assorted stuff I keep buying for some reason

Easy check. See if the actuator is getting power in both the up and down position. Just place a test light across the 2 terminals on the actuator and it should light in both directions. If it does, the actuator is defective, if not, look for wiring issues.
