There is evidence that possibly 87 Series 61 Cadillacs for model year 1951 were factory built with manual transmissions.. Does anyone on this forum own one, or has ever seen one.

It seems like I remember there being a story in the Self Starter about a 1951 that had a manual transmission.  It told about the car's history of being purchased by a woman farm owner in KS new.  She never drove it and her nephew's drove her around in it.  I'll look and see if I can find it.
