Hey guy's, my tech lifted my 1941 Caddy and now the rear is sitting up in an un-natural position.  Anybody got any ideas how to release the lock so it returns to a normal position?

Thanks,
.....Fritz

Fritz,
Yes, you just need to flip the rear schackle forward.  It's facing the rear of the car now.  Take a little weight off of the car and insert a pry bar (I like that new adjustable one that Sears has) and pry down and towards the front of the car.  The schackle will flip forward.  You can do a search on this in the forum and you'll see some pictures.  Don't sweat it.  It happens.

Scot,
Yes, I think I got it backwards (like these shackles).  Which ever way they're flipped...flip 'em the other way.  I've been so involved with the upholstery on my 41 and have long passed the suspension issues.  Thanks for the correction.  I'm about to post some new pictures of the rear seat and a helpful hint regarding the lower front seat frame which I hope will be of some use to somebody out there.
