I should supply the front and side weatherstrip which is attached to the body for a sliding roof (1977 Seville). Like you can see on the picture, that weatherstrip is not in a good shape anymore. The problem is I have no idea who could supply this wheatherstrip or if a substitude material could be used. Maybe somebody here was already faced witht that situation and has a solution.
The owner of the car and I would be grateful!

I lucked out about 2 years ago on Ebay. A vendor had quantities of NOS strips he was selling.
My '76 was getting ready to be painted so I purchased one set, for about $325.00 if I recall.

When I was refurbishing a 71 Thunderbird years ago, I used scraps of the new vinyl  that was covering the roof to sew a corded "welting" that served as a very effective air and (less effective) water seal.  Being that the drains were perfectly functional, I cemented the welting around the entire opening and when the roof was closed, it looked exactly like the cushions on an expensive leather sofa for only a few dollars.  I can understand, however the desire for absolute originality.  It's just that those seals were no longer available for the old bird and I had to improvise.

Thank you Norbert for your comments. I have the impression that the owner will have to do something similar. My favorite supplier for Cadillac parts (Ted Holcombe) does not have the weatherstrip on stock.
