This is Cadillac Square in 1910 in Detroit Michigan

C.R. Patton II

Hello Louis

I appreciate the view but it's a lot different now. The temperature is 13 degrees!
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

This picture looks like it may have come from Shorpy. They have another picture from possibly the same time, showing the Detroit City Hall, and a very good (better) view of the Ponchartrain Hotel.

I've always wondered what the Ponch looked like. Apparently, it wasn't there for many years, before being replaced by the National Bank of Detroit building, now occupying that site.

When I was in High School, I had to catch my bus to school in front of the NBD building, there on Woodward Avenue.
