Hi new here with a radio question. I have the radio pulled off my 1947 62 series. I am checking tubes and recapping electrolytics. I would like to remove the chrome push buttons so I can either polish them or get them rechromed. Anybody know how they can be removed from the shafts, if at all? Do they unscrew?? Thanks for the help.

Bob,

The buttons are held to their respective shafts via an interference fit.  I would suggest some penetrating oil.
