Caddy_56

Hi,

I have read that around 1955 tires became tubeless.
How do I know if the rims on my '56 can be used with 'modern' tubeless tires.
Is it possible to know, without removing a tire?

Thanks

Doug Houston

Sure, don't worry about it. They're OK to use. I used tubeless tires on the first '56 Cadillac I had, when it was my everyday driver. I have tubeless tires on all of my '41 Cadillacs and '41 Oldsmobile. I use tubed tires on the '38 Cadillacs, the '39 Cadillac, and the '41 Chvrolet.

I also have a '56 Cadillac now, and a '70 Cadillac. Both have tubeless tires, and no problems.
