Coming to the end of my 36 Coupe restoration and its about the time you realize what little items are missing especially as someone else dismantled the car many years ago.  I have now found Im missing the brackets that fit to the sides of the front clip bottom that the hood side handles grab hold off. the rear are there but not the front ones, cant even see where they would bolt on to.  Should be easy to make if someone can show me a picture of them with some dimensions. Appreciate any help. steve

Hi Steve,.
I assume that's for your 70 series coupe. I would suggest you contact some owners of 36 70 series cars. Use a copy of the CLC directory. If you need help, contact me directly.
Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,
I did that a few years ago when deep in the interior restoration and emailed all the listed owners but only one ever answered me, that was Ken Albert and he was very helpful at the time. there has been no answer from him now though,  The last time we spoke his wife had serious medical problems so I don't know whats happened since.
Yes it is for the 70 series but I don't think that matters, I'm sure something like the hood latch's are all the same, so anyone with a 36 could help me probably.

Hi Steve,
I'll post here to keep this thread alive. I looked in several MPB's. Those brackets are 36 big series cars only. They were obsolete by 1942. I'd try the directory search in both the CLC & the CCCA. Emails make communication easy now. I'll keep trying to help.

Steve,
Try an email to Byron Alsop ( alsop32email addresses not permitted ). He has a '36 85 Series and is getting ready for the CCCA cross country driving tour. I'm sure he would be glad to help. Good Luck,  Harry
