Can someone suggest a good auto glass supplier in the Midwest for replacing all the glass on a 41 Cadillac model 6227 please?

Joe, If you have the old glass it can be used as a pattern to cut the replacement from flat, laminated glass with the exception of the rear  glass which has a curve and is tempered. Some of the glass suppliers have patterns and can cut replacement for you but be careful to ask them the thickness of their product. Some of them offer glass that is thinner  than original and it doesn't fit the channels properly. Good Luck,    Harry

Great info Harry, do you know the thickness of the original glass off hand?  Thanks much.

I think all of the automotive laminate glass is a standard thickness of 1/4".

True that body glass , and windshields are 1/4 inch. The thickness tolerance is sort of sloppy on glass, so that's why they use the shim stock in mounting glass in channels.

Years ago, there was a place in Detroit, known as National Automotive Glass Specif4ications (NAGS). They supplied templates for glass pieces for all cars2. but,  they are out of business, because glass has to be stocked pre-finiched. It's no longer flat laminated, but now, flat or curved tempered.
