I have a 1959 Cadillac 4 door hearse.

Is the fuel sending unit a 2 line type?

Would I have to drop the tank to find out?

What is a reasonable price for a fuel sending unit?

A/C cars had the two connector sender units.  If it was a factory a/c car it had both lines.  If a/c was added afterwards, this may not have been modified as well (but it should have been).  Check the Cadillac parts places for a sender.  My 1970 sender was like $80 from USA Parts.

i agree w/Scott, A/C cars had the return line. You can look at the fuel pump and see if the return line is there. I bought my sender from USA parts and had to pull it back out to reset the float arm. The calbration was way off. Check yours before you install it.
