53 convertible front window upper stop HELP

I am having trouble finding the front window upper stop. At present the hydro system
pushes up on the vent window corner which bends it up a bit. There must be a way to adjust
the window to physically stop at the right point.
Any help appreciated

Yes there is, but you have to take things apart to do it. In the photo, the widow frame sits on the lift bar with two mounting brackets with long slots, held in place with two nuts. Run the window all the way up. You say the window pushes up  on the vent window corner (there should be a small rubber bumper there yes?) . OK, once the window is in this position, loosen those two nuts below with the two long slots. Not too much though or the window will drop the full length of the slots. Now just tap the top of the window frame until the window is where you want it. It should just meet that bumper on the vent window corner. Tighten the two nuts. I would run the window up and down several times until your satisfied with it. Good luck with it!

Grant, there is another adjustment possible as well . If you look at Paul's photo at the lower window U channel, you will see two folded down "tabs".  They correspond with the 2 screwdown  bumpstops at the top of the door beltline. So you can sometimes avoid taking the whole door panel off and just take the upper door panel off and adjust the two bumpstops.
