66 Eldo

Been looking at a few 76 Eldos for sale and need to clarify a few things.

1. I seem to remember that ALL 76 Eldo hubcaps were painted black and not color-keyed to the body. However I have seen quite a few cars with the matching hubcaps to the body color.

2. Accent striping was optional. Correct?

3. What was the color combo for the 200 Bicentennial editions and what did the dash plaque look like and read?

Man there is a lot of junk for sale. Anyone have a nice one for sale? I am helping a friend locate a car.

All 1976 Eldorado's came with black painted hub caps except the Bicentennial editions.

I don't think the pin stripes were optional. Most cars ( and I think the correct stripes )are the dual stripes on the hood. No stripes on the trunk.  My 5000 mile Eldo is like this and I have the dealer invoice and no mention of stripes as an option.

Looking for a convert I assume?    What sort of quality is your friend hoping for?  Say on the simple 1-5 scale 1 being the pile of parts and a 5 being a show car?   Is there a budget in mind or are they willing to pay the going rate for the quality they want if they find it?
