Thought I would share these pictures of a 56 Cadillac rusting and overgrown. Maybe some one else has some pictures like this or knows where some old Cadillacs are that could be posted here? I think it is art! Ken Perry

So far my favorite is David's Wisconsin Eldorado.   Makes you wonder how long its been sitting there to have a tree grow that good.  Its a 79-85 car.  So assume it maybe got parked there as early as 90?  20 years for that tree?

I wonder how many of these "good" ones aren't gone because the owners thought they were worth five figures to some (always) rich collector that throws money at the cars no matter how bad they are...

No, but Jack Miller did, and totally restored it. Made doors for the rear out of 6219 ones. It ended up in Vegas at the guy's casino that has all the 1941s.

If I had drug it home, I don't think Gay would be sitting in our family room right now... After 54 years, you learn which ones to pass on.

She was introduced to 41's in a rather weird way. First, I picked her up in my 6127, referred to only as "my Cadillac." And our first movie date was "Some Came Running", which starred (She thought:) Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I thought the "star" was something different entirely. A half an hour into the movie, I grabbed her knee and whispered, way too loud for a crowded first run movie house, "OMYGOD. Look at the '41 Cadillac convertible." She wanted to see the movie because she had seen it being filmed in Madison, IN. She said that Martin would drive down the street, and then get out and have someone else back the car up for the next take.

At least she forgot to smack me for grabbing her knee.
