Hello all,

I'm new here, and I hope there is someone around here who could help me out with a special request.

Basically, I am requesting the overall measurements (as specific as you can provide) of the 1959 Cadillac fins.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from some of you. Thanks.

What are you trying to do, That you need the measurements for? Ken Perry

I am trying to re-produce them essentially (No, not for a couch project; I hate those!). Finding a 1959 Cadillac in the Northeast has proven to be quite difficult. Let me know if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious as to what the market is for repro tail fins?  These generally dont need replacement unless involved in a significant wreck

As far as I know, there is no market for repro tail fins, or at the very least none that I have found. I'm pretty sure repros of these sheet metal pieces don't exist or I would buy them.  I can't find a local junker that I can get measurements from. That's why I am looking for measurements on this website. As stated, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If you end up building these fins what will you be using them on?

CaddyShack1980

The fins will end up being used for an art piece examining the cultural significance and style of the American motor vehicle. It would would not be complete without the 59 Cadillac tail fins. Any help is appreciated.

I have access to a a fair number of 1959 Cadillacs that are not tooooo far from you.
I have recently purchased a few 59 cars including Eldorados and lots of parts, there are about 10 59 parts cars that might be able to give you some needed parts.
