1949 Cadillac Coupe deVille on 60 Special Chassis

The latest issue (December 2013) of Collectible Automobile has a nice photo feature on the original Coupe de Ville, shown at the Waldorf-Astoria in January 1949. That was the first of the shows that became the Motoramas. The car was built on the 60 Special platform, and had a limousine-like rear window. GM President Charles Wilson drove the car for a few years. It is now owned by Steve Plunkett of Ontario, Canada. The color photography in CA is impressive. I think that Self-Starter did a feature on this car at some point. A unique and stunning piece of Cadillac history...
