On my 57 series 62 I don't have a set of keys and I'm trying to start the car. I removed the ignition switch and these are the wires I have. Red, purple, yellow, pink. Witch ones do I put together for simple power on and which for starter?

Thanks

Pretty sure red to purple will crank the engine, run a jumper from battery pos. to coil positive just to start it.  A shop manual would have the needed info to be sure on the starter cicuitry.

What Dave said.  Jumper wire from battery pas, to coil pos.  Then use a remote starter.

These are basic switches and to hot wire simply jumper Red (battery) wire to Pink (ignition) wire, and touch Purple (starter) wire. Yellow is accessory and not needed to crank.

Thank you for the video. I hooked up my remote starter. One wire on coil one on the battery lead on starter and one on ignition wire on starter. Engine cranks now. Needs new battery but cranks slow. My question is since I hooked up the remote starter do I still need to put a wire from the battery to the coil?

Thanks

What Dave said. Here is a simple wiring diagram for the coil hook up.
Remove wire if your not running car. Only install it to start and run car.
After hooking up this wire , use remote start to turn engine over.

They sell the aftermarket switch with key that you see in my video about 2:36 into it for about $15 to $20 at car shows here in NC. I always keep a spare or two handy and are a direct fit in the dash for at least the 63 & 64 Cadillacs.  set one up with wires with male connectors and its a simple igntion switch you can plug directly into the stock connector or use a 'tap in' if the connector is bad.
