Were fender skirts available on '97 de Ville?

This question was put in "want to buy" but probably not everyone is looking there. Therefore my question:
Somebody in Switzerland would like to have a pair fender skirts for his 1997 Cadillac de Ville. I'm not sure if that was offered by Cadillac at that time or if it was an accessory sold by outside suppliers. Wo can answer that? Thank you!

G'day Roger,

Sounds like you have your answer.

Looks like your friend will have to go to a body shop and have a pair custom built.   A good old-fashioned body and fender man should be able to complete the task.

Hi Bruce!
At least somebody who is awake! By looking into Google, I found that most probably the fender skirts were done by aftermarket companies, like you can see on that picture supplied by the customer.
When parts were not supplied by GM, I don't search or touch them.

G'day Roger,

Yes, awake down here.   8.44pm Friday evening.

That Skirt looks beautiful, and really enhances the vehicle, and gives it that Cadillac "Classic" look.

As you probably know, till 1996, the rear wheel opening was very low (similar to Caprices and Buick Roadmaster). It was probably a negative point style wise and it seems logical, when Cadillac improved the design, that they would not offer an accessory recalling the previous model.
At about $150.00 per hour, the owner may search for another car and not let fabricate a pair fender skirts in Switzerland, without to speak about the moldings!
