Mr cadillac

I just wanted to take a moment to express how truly wonderful the entire day was @ Gilmore car museum. The ground breaking ceremony was truly memorable I was glad I could be there in person. I was fortunate enough to bring all 3 0f my Cadillac's one even made it in the official photo shoot. Thank you to everyone who worked so diligently to make it a wonderful time. Your hard work is so appreciated. I think I loved Bill Parfets words the most when he said "We think we own these cars, but we are merely fortunate caretakers of them for now. They will be enjoyed and taken care of by others for generations to come long after we are gone" It hit an emotional cord with me, since my love for our marque was instilled in me @ 10 years of age by My Aunt Elsie. A promise she made to a little boy was fullfilled, and I find it an honor to take such loving care of it now she is gone, and hope someone else will do the same after I am gone. For all those who could not attend we missed you, and you missed a great day. Again to those there and those who worked so hard simply THANK YOU.. it will be a day I remember for ever. Norman, Thanks so very much for the feedback on the groundbreaking ceremony. I dedicated a page to the CLCMRC and making donations in our 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Newsletter that went out yesterday and backed it up with my own donation the day prior.  I was really wanting to be up there this weekend, however, with work and me being here in North Carolina I just couldn't make it. With my donation I'm a proud benefactor and look forward to visits up to see "Our Museum" in the future!  Congrats to all of those that made this happen!!  It's a great day for the Cadillac LaSalle Club!

Back when I was President, there was no thought at all about having such a wonderful thing as a Cadillac & LaSalle Club museum and Research Center. That steps to realize this building matured in such a short time is fantastic. Thanks to all who have donated already. I urge all of you who have not made a pledge already to do so, as our Board is out on a nice, long limb of trust in all of you to come through with your funds and see this project through to a successful conclusion.

Because of a family problem, I did not make it to the ceremony as planned, and I really missed seeing all who were there. Please pass up your Starbucks one day a week, and make that simple $1.00 per day pledge, which at the end of three years will mean you have given $1000 to the Museum, and earned your right to carry a beautiful gold colored ID card. Send just $30 per month to the CLCMRC treasurer and you will be one of those with the vision to support this project. I think I figured up that if only 2.000 of us could make such a pledge, we would need NO major donors. Our members would have pledged the whole thing. Think what a neat thing it would be to have a nice plaque on the wall saying that this building was erected primarily through the donations and support of the members of the CLC. Thanks to you all. Barry.

Hello Norm

You are absolutely correct, the CLC West Michigan Region did a fabulous job presenting the Cadillac Fall Festival. Art & Janet Riley, Dennis Dascenzo, David Bauer and the entire committee organized and executed a great weekend.

The Cadillac & LaSalle Club Museum & Research Center has been a club goal for many years. The cylinders that drove the vehicle across the finish line were Paul Ayres, Alan Haas, Tim Pawl and Bill Anderson. These gentlemen sacrificed endless hours of family and business time to establish an edifice for us to enjoy. There were many others who toiled and financially contributed that regretfully I cannot list. We will rejoice upon the completion of our museum.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

What a great way to remember the weekend....and what a great weekend it was.  Thanks, Dell.  It was a pleasure meeting you.  Great people, great cars, great cause.  We should all be getting involved in the campaign at whatever level we can.  Thanks to all who have contributed thus far.
