1979 Twilight Sentinel Switch

My Sentinel Switch, when set, activates the lights at night, but won't cut off once the car is off. Lights never go out unless you manually turn the switch off everytime. Does this mean it's the switch itself(timer?), or something else to look for...

  I would replace the twilight sentinel control box.   It will be under the dash on the drivers side.
