Well Craigslist has been enabling my addiction again it seems.  I just bought this 43,000 mile 1958 Fleetwood Sixty Special from teh original owners Great Grandson.  We are letting the engine soak in marvel Mystery Oil for a bit before we try to wake her from her long slumber.  She was last driven in 1981 and last started 15 years ago.

Hello Jim

Congratulations you are acquiring a nice fleet!
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

  Hey Jim....

Great looking car.  Wow!  What a looker.  Gotta love that massive look.

Smart move with the Marvel.  Don't forget to soak under the valve covers and get MMO down the valve stems.  I soaked mine (sitting 40 years) several times over several weeks.  Glad I did... Once I applied pressure to the wrench on the front of the engine I got mild resistance and then "POP!".  Keep the valve covers off when you turn over by hand.  This way you can see if anything is sticking and you can stop before damage is done.

WOW... that thing is a beaut!

Always had a sweet spot for the 1958 Fleetwood 60 Special.

Congratulations & best of luck with it.

I just called your towns zoning dept and said you have too many old cars there.    I'll send a flatbed truck over ASAP to get a few.     Free storage at my house.  :)
