What year did Cadillac factory have as a option Kelsey Hayes 40 spoke wires? In what year did the Cadillac dealership have as a option the KH 40 spoke wheels. Someone once told me you could have a dealership installed KH 40 spoke wheels up to 1964. What's the correct story. I don't want to spread untruthful stories.

Thanks Dave

Theoretically you could get KH 40s on almost any model year, dealer installed - while supplies lasted. However they would only be correct for 1953-1956 (1955?) model years (IIRC).

Do you know in about what year did KH stop making them? And or when did the dealerships run out of them. Another word would it had been possible for the 1962 to have them on? As I said I heard it was 64. Thanks Dave

The short answer is that anything is possible - provided supply existed and the customer was willing to pay.

It is also very possible that KH continued production into the '60s- presumably to meet parts demand.

Dave,
Thanks for not wanting to spread untruthful stories. Too many people on ebay do.
The wheels were an option in 1953 & 1954 ONLY!
In 1955 to 1958  the optional wheels were sabres.
Would the dealership install them later?
Of course.
As was said before ,while supplies lasted.
When was that? Who knows.
