Finally got the '77 all done and sorted.

Infamous cracked rear fillers and getting the air conditioning working right were the main issues, plus assorted odds & ends.

Final touch was correct whitewalls which weren't cheap but absolutely necessary!

A Linden car built November 1, 1976, she celebrates her 37th birthday tomorrow.

A one owner original.

Enjoy.

Must've had my camera set too high. Can attach two per post.

*Note: The rear diff is not leaking. It is black protective paint that had not been fully applied.

Well what would you expect the day after Halloween?

Even the exhaust is factory original.

Note the gold cad on the gas cap - still gleams as new.

I got lucky getting one of the last "Unleaded Fuel Only" decals. It is the correct design.

All the silver fillers between the trunk & bumper needed replaced.

What a time my body shop had getting all the repro fillers to fit!

One year only 1977 taillamp is my favorite (1977-1979).

It creates a distinctive profile of the car at night.

1977 grille was decidedly the egg crate design.

Even the edge of the drivers seat is perfect. Not even a trace of wear to report.

Perfect original steering wheel rim woodgrain & spoke applique.

Near impossible to find.

Simply magnificent! It's great that the car has gone to someone who appreciates it and who will preserve it properly! It is really a cream puff! Good luck and enjoy in safety!

Is that next thing you post,  "TRICK" (For Halloween)   and tell us these pictures were taken at the dealer in 1977.  It is so nice I would be afraid to sit in it.  Outstanding !!!

Eric,

Just beautiful. I had a 78 CDV that was hands down the best new Cadillac I ever owned……and, they’re pleasure to drive.

Eric, even though we are friends , I would kick your butt if you sold this car.
You will never find another. Forget the black on black. The red interior makes this car pop.
I also wouldn't touch the paint under the hood. You have a perfect original car.
If its missing someday, you might start at my garage first..........ha

Thanks for the all kind words everyone!

@Roy - I don't think I could ever part with this one. It's the car that took me 20 years to find.

I think you may be right about the red interior.

She will be at Lake George for the GN.

NICE! I love the 77-79's. Don't touch the plastic wood grain around the steering wheel when you steer the car. You hardly ever see the 77-78's with a perfect woodgrain. Looking forward to seeing it at the Grand National next year! Beautiful!

There was a recent post inquiring about the possible future worth of '70s era Cadillacs. This car is the poster child demonstrating what will have worth no matter the era. Fantastic Cadillac!

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!
Where did you find the steering wheel trim. I had a 77 Sedan in Desert Rose Firemist for 18 years. I know how difficult it was to find then. When I installed a new one, I adding some double stick tape between it and the steering as a cushion so it wouldn't flex as much which is why they cracked so easily.
The tires are awesome, however I've heard that size with that white wall are fairly easy and inexpensive to find. My 235's are pricey now.
Again an absolutely magnificent machine. Thanks for sharing it.
