Does anyone have a good (or bad) experience using a pre purchase inspection service?

You can PM me if you don't want to respond in public.

The car is located in the northern west coast.

Thanks,

I used one to inspect a Cad for me in WA state.  I am in WI and did not want to go out to look at it.

It was the best money spent on a car purchase, in my opinion, because it convinced me NOT to buy the car.

I received a written report, plenty of pics and a valuation.  I also was able to request specific areas of inspection and ask questions after having been provided the report.

Again, money very well spent!

Hi Brian,

Where is the car and what is it?  I would be glad to look at the car for you and give you my observations and comments and pictures etc. if it is near me. I am near Tacoma Washington and South of Seattle.   I had an offer to inspect a car I  was considering and a couple of members in Denver looked it over and basically saved me a lot of money, so I would like to pay the favor forward if I can.  My last classic purchase was in Phoenix and I flew down to see it myself, cost about the same as a  good inspection I figure.

I'll second Dave Yaros' recommendation and advice. I've used Automobile Inspections LLC four times, very thorough inspection service and they provide an excellent formatted report.
