I am nearing the end of the restoration of a 1940-7567.
On both doors of the car there obviously were rear view mirrors attached to the triangular front of the vent window frames.
The mirrors are gone and have left two filled-in and chomed-over depressions where they used to be attached.
These original bolt holes are 1 5/8" on center.
Does anyone know if such mirrors are available, and where, or can anyone supply a photograph of an original or of a close reproduction mirror to

Brad Ipsen tells me that Bob Hoffman knew of someone who was going to make the correct version for those convertibles. That so Bob??

They were obviously an accessory Hilmar as all 5 convertibles I've owned has never had any holes drilled in the vent window frames but Ive seen a lot of cars with them.
Just looked on 'Bobs Automobilia' site and he does one which looks like it might fit the bill for you. Just go to their 'Mirrors' page and look at part code  M-407L
Don't think the centres will match up for you though as their 2"

Guys,
The difference in the reproduction mirrors is in the foot of the base. I contacted the company that makes these mirrors they never replied.  Steve, we should have spent more time on mirrors. LOL! LH mirrors were standard equipment on all 41 conv. cpes. RH mirrors were optional.
Center to center was 2" on the holes.
Hilmar, correct mirrors hopefully will cover up those incorrect holes. I'm going to send you a private email with an idea. Watch for it.
