I am interested in the June Wilkinson pic purely from the historical perspective on how dagmars evolved.
Betty Grable was described as having the best legs in Hollywood . . . and the sweetest 41 conv.

I noted that the 1941 at the top has had the red'black backgrounds worn away on the fog lamp covers and hood crest. I couldn't pick out the date on the license plate though.

Quentin,  That is indeed me.  I used my photoshop time machine to go back to the grand opening of Darby Everest in 1955 and window shop.

The shot with the big V16 and the model car is actually in the UK. Anyone notice the English registration plates?

Hello Quentin

Iconic LaSalle!  Thanks for sharing.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

It was removed because it was not Cadillac or LaSalle related, and not even any Cadillac or LaSalle, or part of one in the picture.

Hello Bill

Perhaps we can talk Bruce into crafting a picture with June sitting in a LaSalle?

G'day Bill and those many others, including me, who no doubt, were shocked to discover their "one true love" . . . the one and only, the delightful, the incredible . . . Miss JUNE WILKINSON missing  from this post.
The good news is that I have saved that offensive pic and can send it via personal email to anyone who requests it.
Of course as Bruce has eloquently pointed out June has absolutely NOTHING to do with Cadillacs. . . .and for C.R nothing to do with LaSalles.
Please don't be disappointed when you discover this fact . No returns, no warranties, guarantees or claims given or implied or honoured.
Henceforth, I have no desire to post any more images Cadillac or non Cadillac images for fear of upsetting sensitive individuals given my apparent lack of taste and judgement and moral fibre and unreservedly apologise for any hurt/loss/injury that this image may have created .  :'(

Guys, it was "probably" the DeSoto image that offended...  I think there is a listing complete with part # for the lady's bra in a Master Parts Book. I think it fit a 1957 Cadillac perfectly.

Q., I am intrigued by that 1934-37 V16 Town Car with the French tourist tags (marked "TT") sitting behind the pedal car with the British tags.  Could it be the car once owned by Marlene Dietrich that she brought to England in 1935 ... and left there just before the Nazis started making noises in Germany? The position of the badges on the RH side of the grille seem to match those I have seen on another photo of the Dietrich (car with her chauffeur beside it)
. Only 4 of these town cars were built on the V16 chassis in 1934 and Marlene's probably was the only one of these four without sidemounts. Do you happen to know the origin of the photo?

Happy New Year !

Q,

Send me the unqualified photo, please.

The zenith of the dagmar was the 57/58 Brougham, this is purely research.

Thanks

Quentin, Please don't be discouraged. The photos you posted are really great and I for one appreciate seeing them. If you or anyone else runs across a photo of Betty Grable and a '41 Cadillac 67 Series limo please post or let me know. The '41 67 Series I have was supposed to have been owned by her when it was new. I have been trying to find documentation or a picture but no luck so far. The car was delivered through Don Lee in Hollywood and the story has been told from an owner in 1956. If the car was owned by her, great, if not it's still a cool car.     Harry
