Hi Brothers,
I have a question again  :) What is the big black box in front and relay by washer jar on inner left fender on 1956 Cadillacs? I just notice they are missing on my 56 Sedan Deville. But I have found a long twisted wire hanging on the washer jar.It is wire without color, because it is a burned engine compartment on my car.
Thank you very much for the help.

I suppose it's the Autronic Eye system. Not really useful, but nice to have. 2 of my cars have this system, but it's now disconnected.

Thank you Roger. Are they both are for Autronic Eye?My car does not have Autronic eye,it means these parts should not be there,it's good  :).Do you have any ideas about one long wire on the same place?Could this be for hood light?
Thank you

Yes, both are for the Autronic Eye which was an option. Cars without that system have no relay for the headlamps: the wiring is going the the lamps directly from the floor switch. Cadillacs have no underhood light! I suppose from memory that the wires are for the electric antenna, which is on the driver side, or maybe also for the lamps.
I saw your question about the assembly manual. Never saw one but fortunately, these cars are not complicated. However, I understand your dilemma when a car is damaged. I can do many pictures from my '56 de Ville, but you will have to wait Spring time. It's now too cold in my storage room which is located at about 1/2 hour drive from home.
