Does anyone know if Joan Crawford's 1967 Fleetwood Brougham is still around?
I have not seen it for a few years now, it used to be owned by someone in Los Angeles I believe.

It was shown at a regional CLC event at Penske Cadillac in Torrance, California in November 2012.   I spoke to the owner briefly.

Imagine the span of Cadillacs that woman saw.  Can't call her a lady, sorry.  I'm a Davis fan.  Even Bette had her fair share of Cadillacs over the years.  Bette was a different breed.  Lady could be used very loosely on both stars...  Only one played, or could, play Margo Channing, though.

To go from a '33 V16 town car to a '67 Fleetwood Brougham....  Imagine if she were here today and had to pick a new Cadillac.  She'd be as confused as I am.  The '33 Town Car, I was told, was a studio car that Joan had use of.  I also recall the late '40's convertible used in "Mildred Pierce" was Joan's personal car.

As I understand it, both Joan and Bette had cars to be proud of from Auburns, Duesenbergs, Cadillacs, Lincoins, Rolls and Jaguars.  Remember the opening scene to "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" and the closing scene with the '48 Lincoln.

In the little-known "cult" film Spider Baby (1963), two cars separated by ~ 30 years appeared:

An early '30s Dusenberg  (enclosed body style - possibly Town Brougham) with carriage door handles and...a then-new 1963 Biarritz!

Don't forget Gloria Swanson's Isotta Fraschini in Sunset Boulevard - irreverently referred to as "the old bus" and "a funny old car" in the 1950 film.
