what was the original gas line made from , from the fuel pump to the carbureator. /?

John: The gas line from the engine fuel pump to the carb is 5/16 steel available from most auto parts stores. The picture below shows the line, but when I made the line, I made the first bend above the fuel pump to much of a 90 degree bend. It should have been more of a gradual bend towards the carb.    Bill

Do they also sell the other lines? Could you please name one of these stores so I can order them.
Thanks

Hi Mo: As said in my posting above, I made the line from a length of fuel line I bought at a NAPA auto parts store. For my other lines on my 47 as well as my 41 I used a firm in Phoenix that custom made fuel and hydraulic lines provided you had the old line for them to copy. Sorry to say, the firm went out of business. Now you might try Classic Tube as they show in their catalog they make lines for a 47 Cad   http://www.classictube.com/   You might also try Inline Tube     http://www.inlinetube.com/ to see if they have a pattern for your needs or send them your old line for a pattern. I used them for all my lines on my 71 Olds 442.     Bill
