1953 Cadillac Battery measurements, will 9.87 tall fit ?

I am buying a new battery for my 53 cad- I have been told the heavy duty battery is 9.87 inches tall. The book says the battery is 9 inches tall. And the one in the cad is 9 inches. Since the car is half a days drive away-can anyone tell me if the new battery will fit ????

What model is the car ? Mine is a 62 series , the battery is 8 in tall , 4 in wide , 19 in long
