What a very nice story. You bought this car at an auction in the USA and shipped it to your home? Where do you live? I hope this car gives you many years of good service.

Aundrey,

First I must tell you that your posts are very welcome but you must identify yourself with name and initial by the rules or a moderator will notify you and if you do not comply they will delete your post.

I admire your ingenuity in making this purchase and arranging the importation  of your beautiful car.   I hope it gives you many years of service and enjoyment.

I think there are no Cadillac LaSalle club memberships in Russia and I hope you will be the first.

We are here to assist and inform you.

Welcome to you as an owner of the "Standard of the world".

Please do post some pictures of your Caddie in its new home. We would love to see it next to the local scenery.

Welcome!
Unfortunately, the front bumper was damaged during transportation. It must be quite an adventure to import such a car from Russia...

G'day Andrey,

Welcome to the world of Cadillac ownership.

From the bumper damage, you are lucky there wasn't more damage incurred.   The way Containers are handled, the vehicles and contents inside them have to be secured really well.   But, no matter how well they are secured, if anything is to go wrong, it will during the loading and unloading, that is on and off the ship, or the railroad.

Make sure you get a Workshop Manual for the car, as it will be invaluable come repair time, and general vehicle enlightenment.

Hello Andrey

In our club we closely affiliate with members that have the same/similar model. This makes maintenance, repairs, and restoration easier. I highly recommend that you contact the leader, Jason Edge. He is kind, thoughtful, and generous with his knowledge.

Thanks for the pictures of that Caddie in Russia. What a change from SoCal! Do send more pics when you get it cleaned up and have it in some attractive place.

Hi Andrey!
It is fantastic that you have found your way to the CLC (Cadillac LaSalle Club) Forum and shared your 1963 Cadillac story with pictures on it's journey to it's new home in Russia!

I would also encourage to join the Cadillac LaSalle Club.  For information on joining the CLC and benefits of being a member, check out this link: https://www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/joinrenew

Be sure and join the CLC and our 1963-1964 Cadillac Chapter which I serve as director. To join simply send me your CLC membership # once you are a member to jasonedge@nc.rr.com.

We also host a free website at www.6364cadillac.com where you will find a lot of helpful members and information.  Check out our Help Page at www.help.6364cadillac.com in particular and feel free to contact me directly at jasonedge@nc.rr.com regarding our chapter, the website or anything else.

You might also check out our newsletters from last year as we spotlighted different body styles each month as part of the 50th anniversary of that model year.   You can see a 1963 Fleetwood 60 Special like yours spotlighted in the June 2013 issue at this link: http://forums.cadillaclasalleclub.org/index.php?topic=125800.0

ps.. On the front bumper it looks like you only damaged the upper center which is actually one of the easier of the 6 pieces to find. I also sell parts on the side and have a stack of solid upper centers.  Just shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com once you get settled in and want to replace this or other items. You can also find many parts vendors and companies on our 63/64 Cadillac Website at www.parts.6364cadillac.com
