Just took the wheel off the drivers side for the first time on my '56.  What a surprise, the threads are backward!  I thought that was a Mopar thing.  At least I figured it out before I snapped a stud! :o

Yeah, that surprises a lot of people.  The quick way to tell if yours is left hand thread is to look at the end of the stud; it is marked with the letter L.
