Anyone happen to have a pic of the stop light switch on a '55 Series 62?  From reading the manuals I gather it sits on the master cylinder.  Is that correct?

Dave,

According to the MPB, the 55 uses the same switch as my 53. It is a mechanical switch located under the floor board. It is not a hydraulic switch mounted on the master cylinder.

If you need to get one, they are available from your local auto parts store. Standard Motor Products offers it under part number SLS40.

Thanks, but I am not in need.

I have yet to get under the car but need to locate it so that I may route and connect wiring for a 3rd brake light.
