Good Evening,
Does anyone know if the 1937 lasalle sedan vent window frames  will fit in the 1937 lasalle coupe?

Thank you,
Rich Iannelli

Rich, My MPB goes back to '37 for the glass only and shows that to be the same. For the frame/complete assembly the book only goes back to 1939. I would say there is hope. I'm sure someone will have a book that will cover the assembly. Good Luck,     Harry

Rich,
I have the book. They are the same. I would have bet against it, but...

Thank you. My frames are so rusted and there is a pair on eBay for $225.00.
I hope this is a good deal

Thanks,
Rich

I would have bet against that too Bob. I've refused sedan ones in the past assuming they wouldn't fit :'(

Bob and Steve,

I wish we had been betting on this because I would have taken the other side of this.  There is no reason for the coupe to be different from the division bar forward.  On the other side of the division bar there is reason to be different but still there is much interchange of the detail parts.  Always a good idea to get all of these parts.  There is much interchange in the winder clutches, gears, and springs.  These parts are not listed in the MPB because they are part of an assembly but there is much commonality.

I agree with that Brad but had always assumed the coupes would have had a different slope to the screen and smaller glass affecting the shape of vent windows.

I have glass from sedans and coupes hidden in my junk store, I must find them and compare.

Hello Rich

Glad to read you are improving your LaSalle.  The price you mentioned is fair.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

Now theres a conundrum.  I have compared the front vent window glass from a 37 sedan and a 38 coupe always assuming the Fisher bodies are the same for these two years right across the GM board and theres no way they will interchange, the coupe being smaller all round. Nearly an inch difference also in the screens.???
