I am about to install my bumpers and noticed that the backs were ugly. Chrome peeling and some rust and so forth.  It is my intent to paint the backs (insides) a light gray similar in shade and color to the rough chrome back there.  What paint can I use that will adhere and look good?

I also have a little painting to do on my hood badge and want to paint it with something that will last.

I painted the backs of my bumpers with black semigloss tremclad rust paint. They look good and when any bit of rust shows through i scrape a bit and touch it up. I used black because I thought it matched well with the grommets and bumper bars

Finishing Touch in Chicago, the leading Pebble Beach re-chroming shop uses silver.  If the back is rusted, would use that Eastwood rubber encapsulator followed by a shade of silver that is tough, like for wheels or something similar.
