Recent 1930 V-16 listing on eBay

The car that was offered in this recent eBay listing is a fascinating original survivor (give or take a few mods, like the downdraft carburetor set-up).  It appears to have been in hiding for a number of years, and was apparently sold locally before the eBay listing ran its course.  I tried asking the seller about the car's history, but he only said it was sold.

The eBay item number is 141338537312.

Does anyone know anything about the car, its story, or where it ended up?
