Hi All,
My first post to the group! :)  I have a 1936 60 series 4 dr sedan that is in need of new running board rubber matting.  Sometime in the future I would like to have them done correctly but since that will require about $2000, I'm just looking for a fix for now.   The previous owner purchased ribbed rubber matting and it looked good.  It has started to deteriorate and has also come loose.
The 3 pics show the car, a running board closeup and metal panels that the rubber matting attaches to.  The originals are in very bad shape.  I didn't get a pic of the replacement material that the previous owner used.  He found the additional 3 panels (in the pic) and two of them were installed on the car when I bought it.

Any thoughts on where I can find more of this material would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Restoration Specialties & Supply, Windber, PA 814-467-9842 Has or did have roll rubber matting that is a fairly close match to the later 30's running board rubber.  It might work for your needs.  3M Scotch weld Contact Adhesive No. 1357 will hold the stuff down but you have to clean the matting really well to get all of the old mold release off as it interferes with adhesion.

Restoration Specialties & Supply also have a web site showing all the Roll Rubber matting they sell.  Steel rubber used to supply the absolute correct matter but sadly no longer.
