For sure 55 cadi .... in my researches, I have found wikipedia to be helpful , but also incorrect on many fine points....

I do note that all references (that i have seen , and there are many) to the August 27th date REFER to the August 22 date as being incorrect a far as the 'formal' founding day (i.e. when all the papers were signed) . However, all references (that I have seen) that claim that the 22 is the founding date do NOT mention the August 27th date at all which , to my way of thinking, may indicate that the 27th is the true date.

At any rate, perhaps a photocopy of the signed documents ( see: http://media.cadillac.com/media/us/en/cadillac/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2012/Aug/0824_cadillac.html ) with the 27th date could settle the issue that the FORMAL founding date was , in fact , the 27th.... even though the guys could have shaken hands on the deal on the 22  .... I have no problem with caddy having 2 founding days (for the caddy lovers whose birthday is the 22) ha ha.... anyway ..... no biggie ...

I'm going with the 27th. That's the date on the birth certificate. I mean you don't celebrate the day that your mum and dad went to the drive in??
