I am pleased to introduce the newest addition to my collection… a 1965 Cadillac Eldorado.

I just got the title today so it's official.

And as I used to call them … it's an up-top-down-top!  Beautiful.

Hello Lucas

Gratulantur!

Your Fleetwood Eldorado  68467 is 129.5 inches of luxury.  Just 2,125 produced in 1965 with only 31 listed in our 2014 CLC International Membership Directory.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

Congratulations!        Love love love the 65s!    So long and low.

Thank you for the kind words.

Vital statistics:

California car
59,999 miles (odometer stopped working at 59,999 so true mileage is unknown)
Triple black
Options include air, level control, twilight sentinel, cruise, tilt/telescope, power locks, door edge guards.

I am currently going through the car addressing some issues. Bad water pump, original exhaust needs to be replaced, some upholstery and trim work. I am hoping to get the air conditioning working again; I am not so optimistic about the cruise control. I haven't decided whether to resurrect the level control. I will also be repairing the odometer. Unfortunately there was some amateur tinkering done on the car in its past, like a very noisy electric fuel pump which I have already removed.

I have been very fortunate to find some missing pieces like the original California air cleaner with the breather tube and an Eldorado horn, as well as some nice Eldorado-specific items such as the wiper switch and the comfort control with the Tamo wood bezels.

This is definitely a work in progress but it is good to have another project!
