There was a stunning original 48K mile 64 Cad Convertible, Silver with Black interior, appeared to be 95% original. Even the back window was original...only brought $31K on the block.

The cut down 60 Cad Coupe/Conversion was a pretty nice car and brought $45K for a custom.

I was there for 4 days with 5 cars....Pacific Coral 56 Cad Coupe that sold early Saturday morning for only $25K, I was a bit disappointed on that but I knew it was early in the day.

The auction on Saturday seemed very weak to me, most cars selling 20-30% under what I thought they would or should do for a BJ auction.

My 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville that was a SO Dakota Red car had some nice action on it and went away at $105K.
My 56 Eldorado Seville went through late Saturday and only brought $39,600 with commission....

Time slots matter a lot and it seemed that there was more action on Friday.
One just never knows at these auctions....
I dont know how things do across the street at the Russo and Steele auction..was anyone there to actually see any of the cars?

I might bring to Scottsdale the 1956 Cadillac Sedan with 14K miles, 1956 Hearse and Flower cars....??????

Cliff I was there and I was hoping to steal the 57 Fleetwood that went over Thursday, I stopped bidding at 15k it went for 18,700 with the buyer fee, I thought your 56 pacific coral car would do double that so I wasn't there to even bid when it went over and was surprised at the hammer price , I did see the 64 Deville convertible and agree with you probably the best original I have seen. The "Carpenters" 64 Eldorado went for more than the Deville ,That was all Celebrity not quality. I assume you saw it.   I was next to a gentleman Friday evening who bought a Red /White  Golden Hawk non Supercharged, I thought he did well at 41K until  Saturday when the Supercharged Tiara gold car went for 34k .  Once again I think block timing is everything good and bad, depending which side you are on.

I attended the weekend in Las Vegas and was very surprised by the low prices for many nice original cars. The super muscle and muscle trucks were all the rage and got top dollar. The highest dollar for a Cadillac that I saw was the Coupe Deville owned by Elvis (star attraction) that I think brought $80,000. You are right about the prices having a great deal to do with the timing. Thursday was a low money day and several owners were quite disappointed with the bids. Friday and early Saturday were the best time slots. Of course the big excitement was the Dodge Hellcat that sold for $825,000.00 for charity with a matching guarantee of the same money. After that not much excitement, they practically gave away the last cars on Saturday.

No complaints on the 2 cars that did well, wish the other 3 did better....It was a weak auction, attendance was way off , non of the big BJ bidders were there from what I could see....

Might take a few cars to Scottsdale and see what happens.
