As I work towards completion of my 1942-6719 restoration I find new problems as I go along.

Are there any other Cadillacs with the Trico wiper motor mounted on the drivers side?  I sent my wiper motor to Wiperman and he said it has some unusual parts that he does not have so he returned it without rebuilding it. I know there are numerous versions of these wipers and wonder which other ones would work.

The other half of the problem is that the linkage is unusual because of the location of the motor and one of the chain linkage hooks is broken off. I am not sure how to try to repair this.

Newport engineering does not have any data on the 67 series and I think all of the other 1941 series have the wiper motor on the passenger side near the glove box so the linkage for them is irrelevant for my application.

All ideas could be helpful and appreciated.

Not so Gary. two 41s I have here have the motor on the drivers side, both 62 series. This was necessary to get the radio in, the passenger side has the glove box in the way.

If its the hook I think you mean you will have to extract the arm spindle to drop the sprocket out and replace the bottom section and chain.

Thanks Steve, I will look into it, I wonder if any other models have the motor on the drivers side?

Gary, My '41 67 Series also has the wiper on the driver's side. According to the MPB the wiper motor listed for your car is the same as the '42 61 & 63 Series only. I still can't understand why so many different wiper motors.     Harry
