Changing my fuel tank is imperative this winter. I think the closest I can find is a tank from 53-54 Chevys. Anyone do this swap or know of a better match? Any issues I should be watching for?

Joe: If the tank in your car is original, have you thought about using Gas Tank Renu to restore the tank? Used them for both my 41 and 47 tanks with good results.   Bill

I wish, it's a hacked together mess with some epxoy resin/fibreglass matting holding the filler tube in. Home made straps holding it on.

Hi Joe,

I forgot to tell you that there is a Gas Tank Renu plant in Kingston ON.

Cheers,

Chris

I used Gas Tank Renu on my 1940 LaSalle and on my Mark II Continental. Was very pleased both times.
