I'm pretty sure the front is 3/8-24....but need to find out the rear.

I just bought 4 from them for my '70 Deville about a week ago.  I called them, they looked it up for me.  Haven't installed them yet, so can't confirm the sizes.  I received 10 x 1.5 for the front and 8 x 1.25 for the rear.  They are "metric" sizes.

On my 1970 the sizes were not metric, and I have installed them and the brakes were bled a few years ago.

The size of the bleeder does not seem like its ever been a very rigid part of the spec or standard especially since manufacturing has gone global the last 20 or so years.

Either buy an assortment or crawl under there and try and measure em which could be difficult without removing them first.

I have recently bought 2 wheel cylinders from the same store, same brand, same packaging, parts looked identical but 2 different bleeder thread sizes.

Yes, that is true, I have two different thread bleeder sizes on same car as well, but they are non-metric.

Its kinda annoying, you got say the 7/16 bleeder wrench in your hand on the left side, slide on over to the right side and its a 5/16.   Wife sitting in the car asking how much longer she has to stay there and press the pedal while you go get another wrench.

I would not think a 71 would have anything metric and you don't want to damage the threads.

A 71 as delivered from the factory would not have had metric on it but a replacement caliper from the 80's made in Mexico could have had em.  A 90's or today's replacement caliper made in China could easily have metric or even worse some one off sub standard 'home made' thread on it.

3/8-24 thread...GM part number 5455122...all the same for most GM cars from 1970-2006

Well, it appears they provided me the wrong bleeders.  Call them and see what they try to give you.  I'll be on the phone with them tomorrow in the morning to discuss the issue.  I looked at their catalog and the metric sizes start about 1977.  They don't list Cadillac sizes and suggest to call.

I may just pull one front and one rear one out and measure....thanks for all the replies.

IF you are crawling under there and opening the system you may as well look at all 4 just to make sure you don't have an odd ball in there.    Like Scott and I have said the last 20 or so years that thread size does not appear to have a standard or that standard is often ignored.
