Any one know the story about this car?  New owner asked me to inquire.  Was the top dealer-installed?  Factory option?  No Biarritz tags or labels anywhere, thanks!

I'll confirm when I get home, but I am almost certain that was a dealer installed roof cap.....

There was no factory stainless steel roof after 1985.

The roof panel, vinyl top and trunk rack on this car are all dealer add-ons. 
A Cadillac Motorcar is a Possession for which there is no Acceptable Substitute

Yep, that car left the Hamtramk assembly plant as a slick top base Eldo. No stainless cap was ever offered on this series Eldo 86-91. The Biarritz had button tufted interior and wire wheel covers standard.

Their online catalog only goes back to 1992 on the Eldo.
